Smart Savings

When you make energy upgrades, you may be eligible for rebates in addition to the savings you’ll enjoy from lower energy bills. Many energy improvements pay for themselves within 2 to 5 years — while making your home more comfortable!

BayREN – Home Upgrade Rebate to $3,000

The Home Upgrade rebate uses a different approach to calculate incentives for energy saving measures. It uses assigned point values for measures that include duct repair and replacement, reduction of building leakage, insulation, install of high efficiency heating and cooling equipment and hot water systems. While this rebate also requires testing, the initial testing is less involved. The maximum rebate is $3000 and also provides an assessment incentive of $150 to help offset the cost of testing.

The home must have an existing ducted forced air furnace in order to qualify. For more information, please visit https://www.bayareaenergyupgrade.org/get-fit-fast-upgrades.
